The 2016 Football Season is history
Our 20th season of covering high school football has concluded. We would like to congratulate all the local teams, players, parents, coaches and administrators on another great year. There were many surprises. Bear River and NU had subpar years and I know the future will be better for them next year. Colfax turned out surprisingly strong as did Placer and both of them wound up in the Championship game. It is a testimony to our foothill area that we continue to churn out competitive teams year after year and certainly hold our own against a much larger football world in Sacramento. A big thank you to our technical crew and especially our announcing team of Marty Mortensen, Paul Brown and Steve Sitter who helped make the memories with their words and commentary. It is the telling of the story through their eyes which makes our programs so special and timeless. DVD’s of all the games are available at our on line store for Christmas gifts with special packages for the Hillmen and Colfax which went all the way to the Big Show. So once again, thank you for tuning in each week as we covered 15 games this season. We hope we have entertained you and created memories that will last a life time for you and your family. We are off to Basketball now covering the Inaugural Duwaine Ganskie Tournament at Bear River and the 75th annual Kendall Arnett at the Earl Crabb at Placer. Join us each week as we present our 20th Basketball season on the NorCal Game of the Week. Thanks for watching…..gil
